Fee or No Fee? What's up with NAAS Awards?

There appears to be some confusion about NAAS Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards in turns of processing fees or application fees. Specifically, IS THERE A PROCESSING FEE FOR ANY NAAS Award?? I want a straight answer!! Ok. The answer to this question is very simple. However, it needs clarification because of the different methods of requesting and receiving application forms and the need to minimize costs accordingly.

Students who have signed up to receive NAAS Scholarship Text Alerts will receive free access to NAAS Award application forms, a complimentary NAAS Subscriber ID and they pay no fees as long as the application is submitted digitally. However, if they have no Institutional NAAS Subscriber ID and submit their forms via U.S. mail then a fee will accrue.

Students who have registered their name and mailing address, and email address with National Academy of American Scholars will receive free access to NAAS Award application forms, a complimentary NAAS Subscriber ID and they pay no fees as long as the application is submitted digitally. However, if they have no Institutional NAAS Subscriber ID and submit their forms via U.S. mail then a fee will accrue.

Students of NAAS Subscriber ID schools are not subject to any fee(s) regardless of the mode or manner of application submission or requests.

Therefore, the answer is very simple. Submit your forms online and pay no fees; or, submit applications via the U.S. mail and pay a fee. Is that a simple explanation?? I think so. I hope so. Good luck!!
