Great Harwood Farmers' Market gaining momentum thanks to Gaskells & Labour Councillors

Great Harwood Farmers' Market is really starting to take off and Sunday's event was the best attended so far. The photo above was taken in the early morning showing log cabins provided by Hyndburn Borough Council. There is just a £10 charge per stall whether a trader takes a log cabin or brings their own tables.

Taxis operating across Borough boundaries

I have received several representations from taxi owners and drivers about taxis, black cabs specifically licensed in one borough but legally plying trade as a private hire (not public hire) in another.

However enforcement officers have found that these black cabs are picking up public hire fares, people from the kerbside when as private hire here in Hyndburn they are only entitled to pre booked

Local Authorities should be free to set licensing fee's.
