On October 1st, 2009. at around 1600 hours, the NAAS.ORG website was temporarily down due to a central database server undergoing routine maintenance. The NAAS.ORG website, and numerous other websites not related to National Academy of American Scholars, were similarly affected.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused our clients, subscribers, and others who rely upon NAAS products and services was affected by the same issues.
We want to make it clear, however, that issues related to servers and hosting are beyond the control of NAAS Staff. We lease servers from companies deemed to be reputable, and host the NAAS.ORG on those servers. If, or when those servers, become dysfunctional, or being serviced for maintenance, it is possible that the NAAS.ORG website is temporarily inaccessible.
Technicians we have spoken to assert that the issue should be completed repaired by noon, the next day (Oct., 2nd, 2009).
