Quitter Dwight Jones. Clark County Superintendent Quits on Nevada Students

Quitter Dwight Jones. Clark County Superintendent Quits on Nevada Students

On March 5th, 2013, another block-buster and shocking announcement was circulated by the Clark County School District. Another round of Budget cuts? No. Another freeze on teacher salaries? No. A scolding of Triggs Elementary School Principal Salwa Zaki for publicly flaunting her controversial Lesbian lify-style (ref: Gay Wedding Expo? No. Another Clark County School District employee caught molesting an innocent Nevada teen? No!

The block buster announcement concerns Dwight Jones. Clark County School District Superintendent Dwight Jones announced that he will step down from his position later this month. The term "stepping down" is an adult politicized way of saying "I quit. I give up." Let's be real. Clark County School District teachers and employees love to use double-speak when communicating with students, and parents. Clark County School District Superintendent Dwight Jones is a master of political double-speak. What Clark County School District employees say is not necessarily what they mean.

Master Double-Speak artist Dwight Jones claims that "I am honored to be a part of [Clark County School District] this hard and worthwhile work. I am leaving because I'm presented with a decision that I'll never have the opportunity to make again - to spend time caring for my mother."

What person over the age 40 years of age has a mother who is as sprite as 22 years of age? No one. Virtually every single mother, mom, and woman, who reaches a certain age will have medical, emotional, and physical problems. Furthermore, the same ailments that apparently affect the mother of County School District Superintendent Dwight Jones are probably little different than the problems of most other moms, mothers, other Clark County School District school employees. The role of government and education should not shut-down simply because our loving mom is "sick". That's the cheap excuse of Dwight Jones. After-all, Dwight Jones was named superintendent as recently as September 2010 and officially began serving the role in December 2010. Yes, we are sympathetic to Ms. Jones regardless of the true state of her condition. However, we are no fools when it comes to dealing with the suspect integrity of the Clark County School District, and its teachers.

Despite protests, Clark County School District employees also endorsed, ratified, and approved the misuse and misappropriation of the NAAS trademark via Northwest Commission, f/k/a/ Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, Inc., and its President David Steadman. Clark County School District employees ignored facts, and a legal certification from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office that verified the validity, substance, and notice to the entire world that the NAAS trademark is associated with National Academy of American Scholars (NAAS) and no other organization is an authorized user of that trademark unless and until we provide express, direct, and detailed authorization, and we receive valuable consideration for such use. No consideration means no authorization; just like Nevada real-estate contracts.

Only legal action, sustained protests, media reports from our affiliates, complaints to the Idaho Attorney General, rejection of Boise State University of further association/endorsement of Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, Inc., and numerous other legal steps literally forced the Clark County School District to accept reality. It should be no surprise to no one that the employer of Dwight Jones accepts the accreditation standards from Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, Inc, but rejects the legal foundation, credibility, and authority of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. All Nevada, Clark County Schools, are in fact accredited by the suspect standards of Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, Inc. Now, we are being asked to believe the reasons cited by Dwight Jones for his abrupt resignation? WTF?!! Give me a break!!!

What is disturbing is how some Clark County teachers, politicians, including Mr. Jones manage to use their moms, mothers, family members, and others as a convenient political tool to exploit or mask the reality of the situation at hand. Dwight Jones does not want to be associated with the Clark County School District because his presence or management will not change the work ethos, and "I-am-above-the-law-mentality" and habits of Clark County School District teachers, and its various employees. Neither does the double-speak of Dwight Jones successfully mask the reality of the situation at hand, which is as follows:

  1. Clark County School District school employee Dwight Jones quit his job rather than finish what he started. Another Dwight Jones, 6'3", 230-pound wide receiver who ran a 4.55 40-yard dash at an N.F.L. combine, and caught 12 touchdowns during his senior year, reportedly quit the Houston Texans in May of 2012. Although the two Dwight Jones are perhaps unrelated genetically, they both are coincidentally public figures, and now wear the label of being a Quitter.They are both similar in other areas.
  2. The Clark County School District has a massive number of 300,000 Nevada students, 35,000 Nevada employees, 336 Nevada schools and an annual budget of $5.2 billion. Despite this enormous budget of billions, Nevada students are not even afforded the personal dignity of having their own personal school books, and instead are furnished cheap, and barely legible photocopies of class material. Nevada parents accept this condition without debate;
  3. Over 60% of the the Clark County School District budget is allocated towards the salaries of extremist teachers who believe their salaries, and comfortable life-style should take precedence over class-room material, learning resources, and equipment for students;
  4. Clark County Schools routinely mismanage their budgets. For example, the Clark County School District reportedly spent an average $6,827 on each of its students last year, which was $405 more per student than the year before. However, this funding did nothing to ease or reverse a staggering school drop-out rates by Nevada students;
  5. Instead of preparing daily class-room material, Clark County School District teachers are so inept and out of touch with routine teacher functions, that it is routine for Clark County School District teachers to download and copy assignments from the Internet and re-use the same assignments year after year and copy the prepared assignments from other Clark County School District teachers. In-house plagiarism by Clark County School District teachers is rampant and routine;
  6. The Clark County School District is the fifth-largest school district in the United States, and Clark County School District teachers have one of the highest teacher salaries. At the same time the Clark County School District teachers are being enriched with excessive, bloated, and mind-boggling teacher salaries that are on par with super-star teachers, the exact same Clark County School District teachers have achieved very little, and have produced the least quantifiable results for students, and these same Clark County School District teachers have consistently been in the top tier of having the lowest graduation rates amongst school districts in the U.S.A. with over 100, 000 students;
  7. Despite these incredibly negative statistics, Clark County School District teachers have publicly fought with the Clark County School District for higher annual salary increases when the appropriate solution is to lower their salaries and force these Clark County School District to PROVE their value and worthiness by actually doing the job they were hired to do: teach and instruct, and not gripe and complain.
  8. The sheer greed and arrogance of Clark County School District teachers is appalling, and even diabolical. For example, the Clark County School District's application for a federal grant amongst 900 school districts across the country — who were vying for a piece of $400 million in federal grant money-- essentially collapsed because the local Clark County teachers union declined to support the district's application; federal law requires a signature from the Nevada teachers union to certify the grant application.
  9. On February 15th, 2013, the local Las Vegas Sun published a report that announced a "black student in the Clark County School District" was three times more likely to be expelled from school than non-black peers. The study was conducted, not by the local University of Las Vegas Nevada (UNLV), but by out-of-state Vanderbilt University because UNLV (another supporter of Northwest Accreditation Commission) was apparently too afraid to publish such a controversial document.
  10. Despite allegedly rigourous background checks, and references, Clark County School District teachers have a hard-time keeping their dirty hands off of Nevada young students. Nevada Child molestation, Nevada child abuse, and harassment of Nevada students is rampant amongst Clark County School District teachers. In some cases, some Clark County teachers have doubled up on Nevada students to satisfy their gory, perverted, and demented fantasies. For example, consider the allegedly sick episode of Bambi M. Dewey, 32, and John E. Stalmach, 31. These two Clark County School District teachers were arrested for allegedly engaging in cheap sex acts with a local Nevada teen. Although these two teachers should be and are presumed to be innocent until proven otherwise, it should be noted that it takes a hell of lot of paperwork, documents, frustration, and presumed evidence reputable witnesses to get the local Nevada police department to actually arrest a pair of heretofore upstanding Clark County teachers that fit the persona of an up-standing, professional, clean, comfortable, and suburban profile linked to the typical Clark County School District teacher.

Quitter Dwight Jones. Clark County Superintendent Quits on Nevada Students

Instead of sticking around to fix these problems, Clark County School District Superintendent Dwight Jones is turning his back on the students, and letting some of the more sleazy Clark County teachers know that a return back to the routine "way" is to be expected after his departure. Although we are disappointed at his departure, it is better to have a Quitter leave than to expect a Quitter to excel. Indeed, minority student advocates claim they are the most disappointed by the resignation of the minority-majority district's second black superintendent. However, the surprise quitting of Dwight Jones should really be no surprise; quitting is a common element in certain districts of Las Vegas and in certain communities.

On or about March 11th, 2012, Dwight Jones was asked by a local newspaper about how long he would stay as Clark County Superintendent. Dwight Jones responded ‘I am here to implement and see through reform.' Even when specifically informed by the local reporter that "Most superintendents don’t stick around long", Dwight Jones confidently stated that "I want this community to know I am here to implement and see through reform in our district. " This statement by Dwight Jones was made after the local reporter made an inquiry as to whether or not Dwight Jones would continue his employment long enough to see his reforms succeed.

Fast forward approximately 1 year, and the same Dwight Jones now has a much different answer. Now, after he has fattened his bank account with monies derived from his employment, Dwight Jones is ready to ditch the bus, and fold his cards. Either Dwight Jones misrepresented his statements on March 11th, 2012, or he is misrepresenting his statements in March of 2013.

Assuming that his interview was conducted by a competent person, it is certain that Dwight Jones was asked whether or not he would continue his role until his reforms were implemented or until progress was made. Certainly, he wanted the job, and was apparently willing to adjust his answers accordingly just as he adjusted his answers in March of 2012. Theoretically, Dwight Jones could have told the reporter that "I will end my employment in March 2013" or "I am tired of this crap of working for this lousy school district, and I doubt that I will work here past March 2013."

Outrageous, and Obscene Salaries for Clark County School District Teachers

Despite the absymal result, Clark County School District teachers are amongst the most highest paid, and most well fed in the U.S.A. Over, 56% of Clark County School District teachers carry a weight limit that exceeds their body proportion (i.e., many are over weight). The salaries of Clark County School District employees are published online.

The data produced by the Nevada Policy Research Institute is quite incredible. The table shows that low tier Nevada teachers salaries exceed $70,000 per year while these teachers do little more than cut, paste, and copy the assignments of other Nevada teachers year after year. In many cases, Nevada teachers even go to educational websites, and download teaching material from these websites because they are too lazy or incompetent to produce an original, never-before produced assignment on a daily basis. For example, this media report is unique, original, and no Clark County School District employee or teacher in the state of Nevada is capable of writing such an article as this one because such a person either lacks the skills and education, or is simply too lazy to create an original article that has never been written before. However, these same Clark County School District teachers have no guilty conscious about accepting their huge salaries while Nevada students are suffering in the classroom because of sheer incompetence and laziness.

Students enrolled in classes taught by Clark County teachers from the elementary to middle school level often lag behind students whose learning was dependent upon third-party sources or home-schooled.

You can't take the letter 'Q' out of Quit

Instead of sticking around to fix these problems, Clark County School District Superintendent Dwight Jones is turning his back on the students, and letting some of the more sleazy Clark County teachers know that a return back to the routine "way" is to be expected after his departure. However, the surprise quitting of Dwight Jones should really be no surprise; quitting is a common element in certain districts of Las Vegas and in certain communities.

We recommend that Nevada students who are disappointed in the eventual absence of Dwight Jones to simply ignore the fact that he was ever present. If Hillary Clinton -- a senior blonde woman far older than Dwight Jones --- can serve four years of uninterrupted service as Secretary of State, and travel to hundreds of countries in extreme conditions, and tackle the complexities of being Secretary of State, constantly have to contend with bickering between two well-financed, egotistical political parties that dwarf the Nevada teacher's union, manage the womanizing proclivities of her husband, then Dwight Jones SHOULD be able to complete his term as being a simple Clark County school employee in his comfortable, non-controversial life-style. Then again, you can't take the letter 'Q' out of Quit no matter how hard you try. That's our opinion. We welcome yours.
